About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and drive the multi-quarter roadmap for foundational services, balancing technical debt, scalability, and feature velocity
  • Transition the platform from reactive ticket-based support to a proactive, scalable self-service product model
  • Establish paved roads, service catalogs, developer portals, self-service tools, and high-quality documentation
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Product, and Design leaders on extensible, compliant platform solutions
  • Drive improvements in APIs, SDKs, and sandbox environments to reduce time-to-first-deploy and developer cognitive load
  • Establish governance frameworks and KPI dashboards tracking adoption, support deflection, and reliability
  • Use developer feedback, interviews, and usage data to translate customer requests into root causes
  • Serve as the voice and evangelist for Twilio’s internal development platform, deployment systems, developer experience, and tooling
  • Lead strategy, roadmap, and product management teams for Twilio’s commerce platform and developer platform capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of product management experience building large-scale cloud services platforms, specifically cloud-native commerce systems for usage-based and metered products at very large scale
  • 10+ years of people management experience leading, recruiting, encouraging, and retaining successful product management teams
  • Proven track record of establishing ambitious goals, achieving or exceeding them, and taking responsibility for customer and business outcomes
  • Track record of driving ground-breaking company change while handling both big-picture strategy and detailed execution
  • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and ability to communicate business value and product features and benefits
  • Ability to influence at the highest levels to drive change
  • Data-driven, outcomes-oriented problem-solving approach
  • Customer-obsessed mindset and passion for customer journey and experience
  • Experience building large-scale, mission-critical software services such as a commerce system or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
  • Approximately 15% travel
