About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to technical design and roadmaps for core platform components
  • Author technical specifications and drive legacy-system transitions to scalable cloud-native microservices
  • Use AI coding assistants to automate boilerplate, generate test suites, and prototype solutions
  • Own end-to-end components and make decisions balancing feature delivery, reliability, security, and technical debt
  • Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate customer and regulatory needs into technical specifications, APIs, and workflows
  • Mentor junior engineers, onboard team members, conduct code reviews, deliver tech talks, and provide technical guidance
  • Identify and resolve technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
  • Own on-call responsibilities, resolve incidents, and implement root-cause remediation
  • Document technical designs, system trade-offs, operational runbooks, RFCs, and related documentation
  • Build scalable, high-performance platform services processing millions of requests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems
  • Strong proficiency in Java or Go
  • Solid knowledge of AWS ecosystems, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns, and highly resilient systems
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor for debugging, code synthesis, and prototyping
  • Experience building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs focused on developer experience
  • Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions such as SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms
  • Ability to influence technical decisions through strong communication and technical credibility
