- Twilio is looking for a Sr. Director, Technical Program Management (IC) to drive our most strategic initiatives, starting with Twilio’s Customer Zero program.
- You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
- In this role, establish a reliable cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource stewardship; drive governance for executive decision-making; communicate program goals and accomplishments; identify change management opportunities; define/manage a program portfolio; collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience managing technical projects in the software engineering domain.
- 5 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports
- Experience program managing comparable technical initiatives (i.e. cloud, SaaS, PaaS);
- Experience leading and managing the successful delivery of high impact and highly cross-functional programs
- Strong ability to quickly build relationships and establish rapport with various cross-functional stakeholders
- Understand the complex relationship between the organization and its environment, identifies connections, adopts different perspectives and quickly responds to changing circumstances in a strategic way.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
- Comfort with changing specifications or standards, and ability to create the conditions in which the team feels comfortable and capable of working through in response to ambiguity.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive executional impact at scale.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, ambiguous environment, with a default to action in order to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements
- Master’s in computer science or engineering or a related field
- Experience in telephony, email, messaging, social media, or other electronic communications.
