Lead flagship event portfolio including annual user conference, Sales Kickoff, Sales Club, and other high-profile events; craft and execute a comprehensive event strategy to drive pipeline growth, accelerate customer experiences, increase adoption, and enhance brand awareness in the market
Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams across LATAM, EMEA, and APJ to ensure cohesive branding and messaging, tailoring events for local markets
Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality execution
Lead and mentor a matrixed team of event professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity and collaboration
Drive awareness, customer adoption, demand conversion, and community engagement through innovative and compelling event experiences
Use data and analytics to assess and evolve event programs and ensure they resonate with our audience
Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into event planning and execution
Partner closely with product teams to align event content, product demos, and launches with the overall product roadmap and GTM strategy
Collaborate with sales leaders to integrate pipeline generation, customer engagement, and partner relationships into the event strategy, ensuring events contribute to revenue goals
Work with brand leaders to ensure all events align with Twilio’s brand identity and positioning
Provide regular reporting on event performance, ROI, and impact on business objectives
Requirements
8+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on large-scale, global events as well as Internal Events including Sales Kickoffs and Sales Clubs
Proven leadership experience, managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with C-level executives
Demonstrated ability to manage event strategy, execution, and post-event analysis
Experience working closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to align event goals with broader business strategies
Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships effectively
A strategic thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
