About the role

  • Lead flagship event portfolio including annual user conference, Sales Kickoff, Sales Club, and other high-profile events; craft and execute a comprehensive event strategy to drive pipeline growth, accelerate customer experiences, increase adoption, and enhance brand awareness in the market
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams across LATAM, EMEA, and APJ to ensure cohesive branding and messaging, tailoring events for local markets
  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality execution
  • Lead and mentor a matrixed team of event professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity and collaboration
  • Drive awareness, customer adoption, demand conversion, and community engagement through innovative and compelling event experiences
  • Use data and analytics to assess and evolve event programs and ensure they resonate with our audience
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into event planning and execution
  • Partner closely with product teams to align event content, product demos, and launches with the overall product roadmap and GTM strategy
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to integrate pipeline generation, customer engagement, and partner relationships into the event strategy, ensuring events contribute to revenue goals
  • Work with brand leaders to ensure all events align with Twilio’s brand identity and positioning
  • Provide regular reporting on event performance, ROI, and impact on business objectives

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on large-scale, global events as well as Internal Events including Sales Kickoffs and Sales Clubs
  • Proven leadership experience, managing teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with C-level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage event strategy, execution, and post-event analysis
  • Experience working closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to align event goals with broader business strategies
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships effectively
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues from various departments
