About the role
- Prepare and file sales, occupancy, property tax returns
- Ensure compliance with all local and national tax laws
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and reviews
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities
- Advise management on tax matters and legislative updates
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals
- Assist with monthly and yearly closing of accounts
- Support financial statement preparation and internal reporting
- Review and reconcile intercompany accounts between properties
- Assist with process improvements in financial systems and controls
Requirements
- A 4-year college degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with strong tax background
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., PVNG, SAP, Oracle, PMS systems) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of tax laws, reporting standards, and compliance processes
- Experience in multi-unit management
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
