About the role

  • Create innovative packaging collections for top global brands, overseeing projects from concept to completion.
  • Work closely with the Creative and Development teams to create experiential packaging collections for a variety of brands, for true unboxing experiences.
  • Execute technical art files for both product and packaging.
  • Develop dielines and templates that are clean and production ready.
  • Gain understanding of each client’s unique branding + guidelines to create a consistency throughout collections.
  • Conceptualize designs with understanding of client’s tastes, needs, and market trends.
  • Highly organized in maintaining files to increase job efficiency, inclusive of ensuring that all files + elements are easy to locate.
  • Duties include managing program timelines, overseeing junior designers, photoshop renderings, file organization, production file setup, document creation, and file sharing.
  • Oversee project from concept to completion - including delegation to other designers.
  • Must be commercially and financially aware of the business, from creative time management of projects and product development.
  • Execute ongoing internal marketing concepts, materials, and decks to be used for general marketing purposes. Including, but not limited to, twelveNYC branded materials and how to continue to tell our story in the US and beyond.
  • Exercise judgment and project management skills to balance priorities and communicate to teams to meet and exceed project deadlines by setting own internal deadlines based on feasibility, clients parameters, and overall team/program deadlines.

Requirements

  • Beauty brand industry experience encouraged but not required
  • Influencer/PR unboxing experience encouraged but not required
  • Must take initiative and be highly communicative
  • Display high-level of accuracy and attention for details in artwork delivery
  • Ability to relentlessly collaborate and work independently on several different projects at once
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud- InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator experience necessary
  • Must have experience working with creative design software to combine typography, graphics and other design elements
  • Proficient experience in illustrations, pattern-making and typography
  • Proficient experience in print-ready files, creating dielines, templates, tech packs, and post production.
  • Ability to comp and build structures and boxes to test execution
  • Flexibility in collaborating with multiple teams
  • Agility to work within other designers files cohesively with non destructive editing
  • Proficient understanding of the Pantone color system
  • Understanding of brand development + consistency with the capability of solving complex problems through effective design
  • Must have their pulse on the latest in art/design/packaging trends
  • Ability to execute design tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work after-hours and on different time zones when necessary
