Infection Prevention Nurse, RN

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conducting rounds, discussing and monitoring infection prevention practices with staff members
- Collecting infection data from departments
- Maintaining records for each case of healthcare-associated infection
- Conducting outbreak investigation
- Training staff members on implementation of infection prevention practices
- Investigating incidents of infections and reporting such incidents to the appropriate person/department
- Ensuring availability of supplies required for infection prevention activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Must have active, and in good standing, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Prior experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
- One year of prior experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Prior Infection Control experience required
- Infection Control certification preferred
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
