Assistant Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator
Tutera Senior Living and Health CareAssistant Director of Nursing managing nursing services in accordance with physician orders. Responsible for supervising nursing staff and maintaining quality care standards at Tutera Senior Living.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for supporting and carrying out the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and total needs of the residents.
- In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON), responsible for the 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directing the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and The Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- In absence of the Director of Nursing (DON), assumes the responsibility for clinical operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Currently licensed as a RN in the state in which you are practicing
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred
- Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
- Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role preferred
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior MDS experience highly preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting highly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Case-Mix, the Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement highly preferred
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the Quality Indicator process, OBRA regulations, and Minimum Data Set
