About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product engineers, responsible for building data analysis products on top of Turquoise’s best-in-class health service pricing data.
  • Own the technical execution and delivery of key product features, ensuring high quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight, specifically in modern frontend technologies (VueJS), ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design are followed.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with business goals. Foster a high-performance and inclusive culture.
  • Champion a culture of high quality, conducting code reviews and ensuring the product meets rigorous standards for user experience and reliability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years experience in product engineering, or a related role, with 2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.
  • Proven expertise shipping reliable products with high quality user experiences.
  • A track record of building inclusive teams, with process decisions informed by bottom-up insight from engineers.
  • Proven expertise managing and evolving incident response practices and managing an on-call schedule.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and platform services such as Heroku.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
