About the role
- Support the Director of Project Management in managing new and existing client relationships.
- Identify and act on cross‑selling opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations.
- Serve as the civil engineering subject‑matter expert (SME) for data center development projects.
- Lead and oversee civil engineering design efforts.
- Manage a team of engineering consultants.
- Monitor project progress and enforce safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance during construction activities.
- Lead a small project management team responsible for planning and executing infrastructure projects.
- Provide program‑level oversight of a portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and project management within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design for large-scale developments; data center experience preferred.
- Proven experience managing engineering consultants, reviewing technical deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client accounts effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams of project managers and technical staff.
- Strong understanding of the full construction project life cycle, from early due diligence through design, permitting, and construction.
- Business development experience, including identifying cross-selling opportunities and supporting proposal development.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of local civil engineering standards, permitting processes, and construction market conditions.
