About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Travel nationwide to conduct manual flights for powerline and utility visual inspections using LiDAR
Create flight plans for the LiDAR aerial capture, conduct ground surveys, and establish GCPs
Capture high-quality LiDAR imagery for critical infrastructure and environmental safety
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight operations, including but not limited to airspace coordination, equipment assembly and tear-down, and hazard mitigation
Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of supporting equipment, including a 4x4 truck, computer workstation, on-board inverters, and batteries
Perform daily maintenance/cleaning on all LiDAR equipment to ensure quality capture and longevity of the equipment
Perform quality checks on collected data to ensure accuracy and meet the client's needs
Serve as a point of contact with clients regarding project scope, scheduling needs, deliverables, and follow-up
