About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients.
- Understand client preferences, policies, and requirements to provide personalized service.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries and issue resolution.
- Use the Tumodo platform and other tools to research, plan, and book domestic and international travel (flights, accommodations, car rentals, trains, etc.).
- Suggest alternate routes, lowest fares, booking classes, exchange rates, and travel services.
- Handle complex multi-leg itineraries and prepare detailed trip plans using preferred vendors.
- Ensure compliance with clients’ travel policies and negotiate with vendors for the best deals.
- Manage all aspects of travel coordination, including ticket issuance, itinerary changes, cancellations, and rebooking.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other providers to resolve travel disruptions promptly.
- Provide support to clients during emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and new technologies.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve performance.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to best practices within the team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a corporate travel consultant or in a similar role for the Senior Travel Consultant position (2+ years’ experience if applying for the Travel Consultant role)
- Proficiency in GDS systems such as Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo
- Native German speaker with excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in travel planning and documentation
- Strong knowledge of major Low-Cost Carriers (LCCs) and their booking platforms
- Nice-to-have Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
