About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and uncover customer business, operational, and technical requirements through consultative discovery.
  • Lead product demonstrations tailored to prospects’ retail workflows, priorities, and success criteria.
  • Design solution strategies that connect Tulip’s platform to customer challenges and measurable business value.
  • Support strategic enterprise opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from discovery through contract signature.
  • Scope and lead Proof of Concept engagements.
  • Own or contribute to technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires.
  • Develop and maintain demo environments, reusable demo scenarios, and industry-specific storytelling.
  • Track Tulip product releases, competitive offerings, and retail technology trends and translate functionality into customer value.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Retail Excellence, and Professional Services on customer needs and post-sale transition.
  • Represent Tulip at executive briefings, workshops, webinars, conferences, and industry events.
  • Mentor teammates on product knowledge, retail best practices, and demonstration techniques.
  • Advise prospects by simplifying complex technical concepts for business and technical audiences.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales within enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated success leading executive-level software demonstrations throughout complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong consultative discovery skills and ability to translate customer objectives into solution recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills for executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise Account Executives on strategic opportunities.
  • Ability to discuss integrations, APIs, data flows, enterprise architecture, and technical concepts at an appropriate customer-facing level.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and communicate their value.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, primarily in North America and Europe.
  • Preferred: experience with retail technology, including clienteling, POS, OMS, CRM, commerce platforms, customer engagement platforms, store operations technology, or omnichannel retail solutions.
  • Preferred: experience selling into enterprise or luxury retail organizations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with modern retail ecosystems and integrations across commerce, CRM, POS, and customer data platforms.
  • Preferred: experience supporting strategic enterprise accounts with customized demonstrations, workshops, or Proofs of Concept.
