About the role
- Manages, develops and coaches the system-wide CDS team
- Helps develop a collaborative team, managing multiple priorities
- Provides ongoing feedback to CDS team, physicians, administration
- Assists with staff evaluations and conflict resolution
- Works with Coding Liaison, CDI Educator and CDI Director for education
- Serves as a subject matter expert and authoritative resource
- Participates in job interviewing and maintains departmental performance initiatives
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Three (3) years’ experience as Clinical Documentation Specialist
- Five years acute care experience
- CCDS or CDIP Certification
