About the role
- Stand up and manage the IMO, defining workstream charters and timelines, tracking and reporting on metrics (KPIs/OKRs), identifying risks, and managing interdependencies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive integration plans and manage cross-functional teams to ensure Day 1 readiness and seamless alignment of systems and processes.
- Oversee and drive the end-to-end integration plans across functional areas, including Operations, HR, Legal, IT and Finance to ensure seamless alignment of systems and processes.
- Translate deal strategy into actionable integration plans and roadmaps (e.g., 100-day plans) to achieve expected cost and revenue synergy targets and maximize ROI.
- Manage employee retention, cultural integration, and internal/external communications.
- Act as the single point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular status updates to the steering committee and senior management on progress, risks, and decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in M&A integration, corporate development, strategic finance, or management consulting.
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience leading end-to-end post-close M&A integration for mid-to-large-scale transactions in a high-growth environment or corporate setting.
- Deep understanding of the M&A lifecycle, including due diligence and post-merger integration processes.
- Strong project management, financial acumen, and excellent executive-level communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including developing timelines and managing budgets.
- Strong leadership skills to drive consensus and make fast decisions, with the ability to influence without authority across cross-functional teams.
- Broad understanding of business operations, including finance, human resources, and information technology systems.
- Ability to travel (often up to 50%) to acquired sites.
