About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for leading the growth, defense, and expansion of Transportation focused products and solutions within assigned customer accounts
- Identify and create new design and sales opportunities
- Defend existing business, and expand content and share of wallet at targeted customers
- Collaborate with branch teams, Transportation suppliers, and internal resources
- Acts as a resource and technical sales support for all Field Sales, General Managers and Segment customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with branch sales leadership and management teams
- Identify, pursue, and close new Transportation business opportunities
- Facilitate and deliver training programs within the territory to educate internal teams on Transportation technologies
- Participate in Quarterly business reviews and regular internal management meetings
- Lead and coordinate regular branch opportunities reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Distribution preferred
- 10 years’ experience in electronics preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working in or with Transportation customer market is preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, operations, systems, vendors, product and branch operations
- Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret business journals, technical procedures and government regulations, customer drawings, and technical specifications
- Ability to travel 50% to 70% required, including international travel
- Ability to type 40 words per minute is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level preferred
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies’ liability carrier.
