About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical reference for consumption individualization projects in Water and Gas, ensuring technological, methodological and operational alignment across all project fronts;
Provide technical support and lead implementation, operations and maintenance teams, guiding processes, standardizations and best practices in individualization;
Ensure consistent and reliable data integration across all involved systems (AMI, GIS, ERP, billing, field service, analytics, among others);
Ensure data governance and data quality, including integrity, consistency, completeness and timeliness of information used by internal areas and customers;
Develop, validate and evolve advanced diagnostic, automation and early fault-detection tools for meters, communication networks and AMI infrastructure;
Conduct advanced system performance analyses, identifying patterns, anomalies and opportunities for improvement using analytics, machine learning and generative AI techniques;
Translate business and customer needs into technical and functional requirements for automations, integrations and new features;
Define, monitor and evolve strategic KPIs for the AMI and individualization ecosystem, guiding executive and operational decisions;
Support technical evaluation of vendors, technologies, architectures and solutions, contributing to strategic decisions and the technology roadmap;
Coordinate testing, homologation and validation of equipment, systems and integrations, ensuring adherence to technical and operational requirements;
Lead the preparation of technical documentation, strategic reports, root-cause analyses and systemic action plans;
Ensure that operational processes and O&M routines are continuously improved, driving efficiency, performance and predictability;
Deliver advanced technical training for internal and client teams, disseminating knowledge and strengthening the project's operational maturity;
Represent the project technically in executive meetings, decision forums and interactions with strategic partners and industry technical events.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in water and/or gas consumption individualization, with involvement in individualization projects, AMI, smart metering or metering infrastructure for water and gas;
Experience with systems integration (AMI, GIS, ERP, billing, field service, IoT platforms, BI/analytics) and data quality management;
Advanced analytical capability, including mastery of data analysis techniques, KPI interpretation, pattern identification and structured problem solving;
Knowledge of AMI communication models and architectures is desirable (RF, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, IPv6, mesh networks, concentrators, head-end systems);
Experience with analytics tools, dashboards and, where applicable, AI/ML models applied to AMI operations and maintenance;
Ability to technically lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate with different levels — field, operations, engineering, IT and executives;
Ability to structure processes, define technical standards and implement continuous improvement practices;
Familiarity with project management methodologies (agile or traditional) and O&M routines;
Excellent communication, technical clarity and ability to translate complex topics into practical guidance;
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields; postgraduate studies or specialization is a differentiator;
English is desirable for interaction with international partners and technical documentation;
Willingness to travel.
