About the role
- Perform basic configuration management tasks such as manage part numbers, structure and review of multi-level bills of materials (BOM), configuration item data entry, change order reviews & data sheet reviews
- Analyze basic change management data such as forms, attachments and workflows
- Review and process change requests for completeness and accuracy
- Create and manage engineering change orders (ECO) and deviations
- Ensure required documentation is captured for configuration items and creating traceability of configurations and configuration changes
- Manage changes to architecture of a sub-system, alternate sourcing, component changes, etc.
- Work closely with various stakeholders to implement product changes and change orders
- Ensure changes are communicated and managed throughout the change management lifecycle
- Attend/facilitate BOM reviews and provide actionable feedback to architecture and drawings
- Support the cross-functional team in the utilization of database tools and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in configuration management
- Familiarity with Configuration Management techniques and tools such as PTC Omnify Empower, Agile or TeamCenter
- Understanding of software and hardware development lifecycle methodologies
- Ability to work under pressure and meet program deadlines
- Knowledge of Mil Standard MIL-HDBK-61A/B or SAE International EIA-649 Configuration Management
- Strong attention to detail
