About the role
- As a DevOps / Data Engineer you will play a central role in building and further developing our data and platform infrastructure.
- You ensure stable, scalable and automated processes from data integration to production operations.
- You design, develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and infrastructure components (Infrastructure as Code).
- You implement high-performance, robust ETL/ELT processes and orchestrate production-ready data pipelines including monitoring, logging and alerting.
- You ensure the stability, scalability and platform compatibility of our systems and continuously evolve our architecture according to current best practices.
- You work closely with data scientists, analysts and business units to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality, production-grade data products.
- You drive the development of a sustainable DataOps culture with a focus on automation, testing, versioning and quality assurance.
- You evaluate new technologies in cloud and data engineering and introduce them in a targeted manner where they add value.
Requirements
- You are eager to actively shape the setup and growth of a new company within the cooperative financial group and bring a true start-up mentality.
- You hold a degree in e.g. (business) computer science, mathematics or a comparable technical field with a focus on data engineering / data analytics.
- You have several years of professional experience in a DevOps or data engineering environment – ideally in a regulated sector (e.g. financial services).
- Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes are part of your daily work.
- You have hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructures, ideally in the Azure ecosystem (e.g. Azure Databricks).
- You are comfortable working in agile development environments and have strong coding skills in Python and Java.
- You have experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Airflow or Kafka.
- You are familiar with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
- You demonstrate analytical strength, a structured approach and a high standard of quality.
- You work independently, responsibly and as a team player and have German language skills at C1 level.
