About the role
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of Tableau dashboards and data visualizations for enterprise clients
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear KPIs, metrics, and visual stories
- Own the full analytics lifecycle — from requirements gathering through delivery and iteration
- Optimize Tableau performance, data models, and extracts for scale and usability
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and BI teams to ensure clean, reliable data sources
- Establish and promote best practices for dashboard design, usability, and governance
- Mentor junior analysts and consultants as needed
- Support Tableau upgrades, migrations, and cloud environments (Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud)
- Proven success in developing, deploying and driving adoption of business processes on salesforce platform
- Keen understanding of how Tableau and Salesforce fits into the larger technology landscape
- Confident and highly communicative, with excellent business insight and a willingness to challenge others or propose changes
- Keep up to date with Salesforce releases, features and best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or visualization roles
- Advanced Tableau expertise (Desktop, Server, Cloud)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
- Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders or clients
- Solid understanding of data modeling, metrics design, and analytics best practices
- Ability to clearly explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment
- Strong desire to drive customer success
- Self-motivated, self-directed, highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Analytical – be able to successfully manage technically and organizationally complex environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both customers, consultants and engineers
- Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall)
- Strong desire to learn new industries and technologies
- Ability to adapt to new challenges
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with professionals at various levels
- NICE TO HAVE: Tableau certifications (Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst, etc.)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse)
- Exposure to ETL tools (dbt, Fivetran, Alteryx, Informatica, etc.)
- Experience in industries like manufacturing, consumer goods, healthcare, or high tech
- Familiarity with data governance and analytics enablement strategies
