About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide new business sales support to sales consultants
  • Prepare new business underwriting submissions
  • Proactively work with internal and external customers to gather information
  • Keep accurate case notes and attachments in CRM
  • Serve as the liaison between underwriting, sales personnel, and brokers
  • Prepare new business group underwriting submissions, maintaining turnaround times
  • Review submissions prior to underwriting and anticipate missing information
  • Document and request missing information necessary to issue the group
  • Update MARK proposals using submitted applications
  • Submit group to UW in MARK
  • Communicate to brokers and sales team on status of underwriting
  • Work directly with brokers and sales personnel to gather missing information
  • Manage the collection of needed documents to issue the group
  • Provide welcome email with plan details and temporary ID cards
  • Accurately update Dynamics CRM with detailed case notes
  • Review broker licensing and appointment status
  • Monitor premium screens for initial premium receipt
  • Request premium as necessary
  • Process new group proposals in MARK during high volume months
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2 years managing a sales application/enrollment workflow
  • Minimum 2 years working in an office environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to speak and write with confidence and clarity
  • Comfortable and confident with customers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and work under time constraints
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Preferred 2+ years’ experience in a sales environment
