About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide new business sales support to sales consultants
- Prepare new business underwriting submissions
- Proactively work with internal and external customers to gather information
- Keep accurate case notes and attachments in CRM
- Serve as the liaison between underwriting, sales personnel, and brokers
- Prepare new business group underwriting submissions, maintaining turnaround times
- Review submissions prior to underwriting and anticipate missing information
- Document and request missing information necessary to issue the group
- Update MARK proposals using submitted applications
- Submit group to UW in MARK
- Communicate to brokers and sales team on status of underwriting
- Work directly with brokers and sales personnel to gather missing information
- Manage the collection of needed documents to issue the group
- Provide welcome email with plan details and temporary ID cards
- Accurately update Dynamics CRM with detailed case notes
- Review broker licensing and appointment status
- Monitor premium screens for initial premium receipt
- Request premium as necessary
- Process new group proposals in MARK during high volume months
- Complete ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years managing a sales application/enrollment workflow
- Minimum 2 years working in an office environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to speak and write with confidence and clarity
- Comfortable and confident with customers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to prioritize and work under time constraints
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Strong time management skills
- Preferred 2+ years’ experience in a sales environment
