About the role
- Manage and oversee a domain consisting of multiple engineering managers and teams
- Partner closely with a Product Manager (PM) counterpart to jointly deliver on the domain’s objectives, forming a cohesive leadership duo
- Work closely with your PM counterparts to deeply understand business problems and translate them into effective organizational, architectural and technical solutions
- Drive operational and technical excellence, take ownership of the domain’s delivery, technical roadmap and key architectural decisions
- Balance innovation and delivering with speed with scalability, reliability, and performance requirements
- Coach and shape the organization towards high-performing teams
- Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering, ensuring alignment to Trustly’s standards, processes and ways-of-working
- As a member of Trustly's Senior Technology Leadership team help drive improvements to Trustly's engineering competence
- Play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent for Trustly
- Shape Trustly engineering standards, processes and ways-of-working
- Build a culture of Empowerment and Servant Leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience as manager of managers, managing multiple engineering teams
- Demonstrated success partnering with product management and design in building empowered product development teams
- Strong technical expertise with an engineering background and history of driving architectural excellence
- Experience from building mission critical systems for high transaction environments
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively balance technical leadership with people management and delivery
