About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set and lead Filene's overall marketing and audience growth strategy.
  • Translate Filene's research and insights into compelling content and experiences.
  • Lead events strategy and execution to maximize ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Filene's reach through partnerships and media.
  • Oversee analytics implementation and reporting.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the Marketing team.
  • Own the end-to-end digital member experience across web, mobile, and AI platforms.
  • Lead the evolution of Filene.org.
  • Champion UX/UI excellence and establish web design standards.
  • Lead the development of Filene's marketing technology ecosystem.
  • Model Filene Credo and maintain the culture of the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, digital strategy, or digital product development.
  • Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, customer journeys, and audience engagement.
  • Technical fluency across modern marketing platforms.
  • Experience selecting and implementing CRM or marketing technology platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external vendors.
  • Strong data orientation with experience using analytics to drive marketing decisions.
  • Exceptional communicator who can present a digital vision to executive leadership.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a lean organization.
  • Experience in membership organizations, think tanks, research/publishing, nonprofit organizations, etc.
