About the role
- Conducts independent analysis and draws conclusions within LOB or actuarial function
- Recognizes potential issues and performs basic research
- Identifies and proposes alternative analytic approaches
- Develops an understanding of how tasks performed comprise a complete project
- Writes basic actuarial reports
- Actively pursue actuarial accreditation
- Maintains good standing in the actuarial student program
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics or a related field
- Two-plus years' work experience required
- Experience in an analytical or insurance setting
- Successful completion of four to five exams or knowledge consistent with and the ability to apply exam material
- Ability to maintain and understand complex models
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to write basic actuarial reports
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
