About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python.
Architect APIs and microservices with clean, maintainable abstractions.
Work with large datasets and asynchronous processing pipelines.
Optimize performance, reliability, and observability.
Contribute to system design discussions.
Own features end-to-end and collaborate across teams.
Write production-quality, testable, secure code.
Participate in code reviews and uphold a high engineering bar.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-5 years of backend engineering experience
Strong production experience in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar)
Experience designing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures
Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization
Experience with async processing, queues (SQS, Kafka), or event-driven systems
Good understanding of system design, scalability, and performance.
Experience working with coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar) is a strong plus.
Experience deploying and operating services on AWS (or another major cloud provider) is a strong plus.
Experience building or integrating AI agent systems (LLM workflows, orchestration frameworks, or evaluation pipelines) is a plus.
