About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair TRUMPF CNC machines
  • Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance
  • Work with Product Support for technical assistance and provide diagnostic feedback
  • Use visual clues, computer programs and diagnostic tools to diagnose machine difficulties
  • Read and use company repair manuals and work orders for repairs
  • Suggest adjustments or updates to existing technical documentation
  • Assemble, install and align equipment; clean, replace or install parts
  • Accurately report technical conditions and machine information to PSG and management
  • Interface with applications, sales, engineering, production and other cross-functional teams
  • Provide onsite customer training for machine operation and repair
  • Submit organized service reports for each repair mission
  • Build and develop strong customer relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles, or a suitable combination of education and work experience
  • Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful
  • Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record
  • Willingness to travel 100% nationwide, including overnight stays and occasional weekend and international travel
