About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver technical training to customers and TRUMPF employees on TRUMPF machines, including product operation, maintenance, programming, and best practices
Conduct standardized training courses at the Farmington Training Center or virtually
Conduct customized training sessions at customer locations
Develop and enhance training curricula, course materials, and instructional content during the first 1–2 years
Develop curricula for new courses and write course documentation, focusing on Smart Factory topics
Leverage the internal network to create courses that meet customer needs
Present training classes to TRUMPF personnel and customers on applicable product lines
Evaluate existing training procedures and manuals and review them with the Training Supervisor
Implement improvements to meet customer demand and achieve high customer satisfaction
Review and update curricula in response to customer feedback or technology changes
Support Training 4.0 strategies, including virtual classrooms and Smart Factory topics
Travel to customer locations and other TRUMPF facilities for training or research
Provide evaluations of TRUMPF Service Engineers while in training
Participate in projects, Continuous Improvement, and SYNCHRO activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

In-depth technical background, preferably on TRUMPF or other CNC sheet metal machine tool products
Experience with automation and Smart Factory topics is a plus
Training and field service experience is strongly preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong PC skills, including operating systems, networking, and Microsoft Office
2-year technical school degree in Engineering or suitable equivalent of education/work experience
Ability to travel up to 25% to customer locations and other TRUMPF facilities in the US and abroad
