About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide manual labor supporting Cultivation department operations
- Support the flower department with day-to-day plant maintenance and sanitation
- Support veg, mom, and propagation departments as business needs require
- Follow laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Net and trellis flower plants
- Load plants and place emitters
- Tuck and spread plants as directed
- Prune and defoliate plants
- Use PPE according to company guidelines
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material after plant maintenance
- Clean, sanitize, and store grow room tools and equipment
- Perform manual cross-department duties as needed
- Complete other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Punctuality
- Cultivation experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 21, or 18 in CT, PA, and WV
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening
- Ability to handle organic matter daily
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including fall protection
- Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE, including temperatures of 95 degrees or greater
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet
- Ability to move or carry at least 50 lbs for a minimum distance of 50 feet
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, climb ladders and stairways, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform repetitive movements, and reach
- Ability to use hands, fingers, wrists, and elbows repetitively
- Visual acuity for reading, computer-terminal viewing, and detailed visual inspection in day and night/dark conditions
- Ability to communicate verbally at conversational levels in moderate noise
