About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead execution of Ohio's marketing strategy across customer touchpoints supporting 20+ dispensaries
- Translate strategic direction into actionable marketing plans and campaigns
- Plan, execute, and optimize state-level integrated marketing initiatives
- Execute campaigns across pricing and promotions, paid and earned media, CRM, digital, retail, events, brand, and content
- Manage promotional and product launch calendars in partnership with merchandising and leadership
- Execute lifecycle marketing initiatives supporting customer acquisition, retention, and frequency
- Develop localized marketing initiatives to drive store traffic, conversion, and revenue
- Plan and execute traffic-driving campaigns, product launches, and activations
- Coordinate creative teams, agencies, vendors, and external partners
- Execute local events, grassroots activations, paid media, earned media, and partnerships
- Track traffic, conversion, campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and retention metrics
- Optimize campaigns using performance data and provide regular reporting and insights to the Executive Director
- Provide team direction, prioritization, and performance feedback
- Collaborate with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Creative & Production, and Compliance
- Ensure marketing activities comply with state regulations and company policies
- Own timelines, prioritization, delivery, and day-to-day execution decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 6–10+ years of experience in marketing, retail marketing, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience managing teams
- Experience executing multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and marketing analytics tools
- Cannabis experience is a strong plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to act on data
- Demonstrated executional leadership and business acumen
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move, and/or carry at least 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and distance of 50 feet
- Must be available to work 45+ hours weekly, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and perform extended workstation, ladder, stairway, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and hand-use activities
- Must have adequate visual acuity and verbal communication ability
