Assistant General Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the General Manager in leadership and supervision of store personnel
- Inventory tracking and management
- Achieving key performance metrics and ensuring efficient daily operations of the store
- Ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience
- Partner with the General Manager to plan and implement strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results
- Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising
- Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state specific regulations
- Review, communicate and ensure compliance with all company SOPs
- Provide coaching, training, and development to the team focused on company service standards
- Monitor and maintain store inventory
- Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations when on duty
- Maintain professional working relationships with business partners
- Assist the General Manager in managing labor budget
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area is a plus
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to train, develop and evaluate a team of 40+ employees
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff; uphold confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to communicate in conversational English to work effectively with customers and team members
- Proven ability to analyze data and draw conclusions for policies and procedures
- Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely
