About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement efficient legal processes and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee the implementation and management of Legal Tracker or equivalent software to ensure effective matter management, billing, and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the legal department's budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external legal service providers, including negotiating rates and evaluating performance.
- Analyze legal data to provide insights and recommendations for improving department performance and decision-making.
- Lead and manage legal projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
- Support compliance initiatives and risk management strategies to protect the company’s interests.
- Work closely with legal team members and other departments to ensure alignment and support for legal initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years proven experience in legal operations, preferably within an in-house legal department.
- Familiarity with Legal Tracker or equivalent legal management and ebilling software.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
