About the role
- Provide support to the Procurement Department to achieve departmental and operational goals.
- The Procurement Project manager will plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project deliverables meet standards.
- Maintain accurate project records, prepare reports, and evaluate project outcomes throughout the entire process.
- Support the Department during the implementation phase of assigned projects to ensure successful transition.
- Coordinate and manage the change management notification process.
- Oversee freight activities, and other indirect spend categories, as required.
- Relationship owner of Trulieve’s preferred 3PL carrier.
- Develop supplier scorecard tool and supplier surveys.
- Develop and implement the total cost of ownership model to assess and validate procurement costs.
- Review standard operating procedures pertaining to Procurement ERP/MRP activities to identify areas for process improvements.
- Identify and execute SAP improvements to existing procurement processes (RFQs from SAP to suppliers, contract implementation, freight terms within Purchase orders, tracking information added to SAP etc.)
Requirements
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Operations Planning or a related field; MBA, CPM, or APICS certification desirable.
- 10+ years of related procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, supplier relationships
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and processes, preferably SAP
- Experience in leading large procurement-based projects
- Strong knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Contract manufacturing experience beneficial
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Observant, analytical, inquisitive and attentive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong listening and presentation skills
- Efficient organization and time-management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with all employees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
