Lead and direct the strategic vision, engineering execution, and operational excellence of Truist’s Marketing Technology domain (encompassing the Adobe suite AEM, AEP, AJO, CJA), Messaging, and Marketing Data Engineering
Oversee multiple agile scrum teams across several geographic locations and manage resource planning, performance management, and career development across a globally distributed team
Partner closely with Marketing Product Management and Marketing Delivery to build enabling capabilities that support go-to-market campaign execution
Collaborate extensively across enterprise data teams and line of business (LOB) technology teams to ensure alignment, integration, and innovation
Oversee Truist.com, a high-visibility public-facing website supporting millions of impressions, emphasizing client engagement and brand representation
Set and execute strategic direction for Marketing Technology in alignment with enterprise business and technology goals; provide technology thought leadership on marketing platforms, data, content supply chains, campaign enablement, consumer engagement, and privacy capabilities
Oversee design, engineering, implementation, and support of scalable, secure, and innovative marketing technology solutions; accountability for end-to-end marketing capabilities and underlying data
Own the first line of defense for risk management within the Marketing Tech domain and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Drive continuous improvement in delivery effectiveness, software quality, and operational efficiency; monitor and manage budgets, third-party contracts, supplier relationships, and technology investments to maximize ROI
Requirements
Language Fluency: English (Required)
Equivalent combination of advanced education and related experience (could include combinations listed)
Ten years’ experience managing software engineers and systems analysts
Five years’ relevant business experience (i.e. making technical-related decisions on the business side)
Five years’ managing a large staff, (including managing managers)
Five years’ experience with budget responsibilities
Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions
Executive level communications skills, including, strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services
Significant knowledge of current and emerging application software products and tools
Extensive project management experience to include multi-million dollar projects completed on time, within budget and delivering quality results
Strong analytical and architectural skills
Ability to manage a high volume of internal client relationships
Knowledge of all phases of software engineering life cycle and experience with process improvement models
Expertise with the Adobe product suite (Preferred)
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern data engineering practices (Preferred)
Experience managing public-facing websites with a focus on maintaining brand integrity and consistent user experience (Preferred)
Visual / Audio / Speaking: Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone
Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding: Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers
Availability: Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need
