About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow Service Catalog items, record producers, workflows, UI policies, and client scripts
- Build and enhance custom ServiceNow applications using scoped applications and best practice architecture
- Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and scripted integrations
- Write clean, efficient server side and client side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, etc.)
- Collaborate with product owners, process owners, and platform architects to refine requirements and technical designs
- Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and upgrade readiness
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, defects, and performance concerns
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing optimization efforts
- Contribute to documentation, technical standards, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and eight to twelve years of experience as a developer or equivalent education and related training or experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow development experience
- Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge
- Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes
- Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices
- Ability to lead complex projects
- Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems
- Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS – Application Development)
