About the role

  • Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for moderately complex issues
  • In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities
  • Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets
  • Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and provides input to developing long-term improvements
  • Documents all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents
  • Has occasional contact with end-users
  • Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers
  • May engage and manage external vendors
  • Applies an understanding of key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of straightforward problems
  • Analyzes possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents
  • Works under moderate supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in application support or development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents
  • Experience participating in IT projects
  • Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience (preferred)
  • Banking or financial services experience (preferred)
  • 3 to 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Windows Server OS in enterprise environments (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and systems administration (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience performing in‑place upgrades and system migrations (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of server build standards, imaging, and lifecycle management (preferred)
  • Experience with Nutanix (preferred)
  • Exposure to infrastructure automation frameworks (e.g., DSC, Ansible, Terraform) (preferred)
  • Experience with ServiceNow for incidents, change, problem, and CMDB processes (preferred)
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware) (preferred)
  • Experience managing and support Windows Server environments (2012 R2–2022) (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to performance, reliability, and security issues (preferred)
