About the role

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of leased and owned corporate real estate locations
  • Review complex legal documents and extract and enter all pertinent terms and obligations into the corporate real estate database
  • Monitor compliance of all lease terms and legal obligations by tracking critical dates and ensuring proper action and notice
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams, landlords, tenants and vendors and provide lease research support
  • Manage rent payments, process annual reconciliations for operating expenses and examine invoices to dispute excessive or non-permitted charges
  • Complete accurate and timely abstracts of critical lease and property information into a central database for branches, offices, ATMs and tenant leases and owned property documents
  • Process recurring and non-recurring payables and receivables associated with leases, prepare weekly and monthly payment files and compile payment support documentation
  • Compare and evaluate operating expense and tax reconciliation statements and pursue corrections
  • Review, edit and execute estoppels and draft lease correspondence including renewal letters
  • Conduct property and lease research, answer questions, clarify lease terminology and interpret lease language
  • Perform ad hoc and monthly reporting for quality control and work closely with Lease Accounting at month and quarter end to ensure executed documents are processed for financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or equivalent education and related training
  • 3 or more years of experience in lease administration, finance, property management or similar field, with strong understanding of commercial lease structures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to complete work with critical time schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts
  • Experience in documenting processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Costar Real Estate Manager
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of ASC-842 Accounting policy
  • Preferred: Banking or financial services experience
  • Preferred: Notary
