Billing Specialist

• Manage and execute the daily/monthly production cycles of all billing processes for hospice clients, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing based on pharmacy service agreements
• Facilitate, verify data integrity, and investigate & resolve variances
• Review contracts and pricing structures to ensure proper application of billing terms and fee schedules
• Collaborate with Client Services, Operations, and Pharmacy Teams to validate billing data and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations, HIPAA, and internal financial controls
• Proactively review processes and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, revenue accruals, and reporting
• Prepare client billing summaries, aging reports, and ad hoc financial analysis
• Assist in audit preparation and provide documentation to auditors
• Train and mentor junior staff or billing specialists as needed
