About the role
- Design, prototype, and build secure, scalable, and compliant full-stack solutions using Next.js and modern development practices.
- Actively contribute to the codebase, balancing architectural excellence with pragmatic, delivery-focused execution.
- Embed SOX and other compliance requirements directly into system architecture, data models, workflows, and application code from the ground up.
- Design and implement agentic workflows and AI-augmented features, leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor to improve developer productivity and system capabilities.
- Architect, customize, and extend headless content management systems, with a strong preference for hands-on experience with Payload CMS.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ensure technical feasibility and accurate translation of Figma designs into high-quality user interfaces.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, definition of coding standards, architectural guidance, and hands-on mentorship, including pair programming.
- Own solutions across the full stack, including frontend, backend, database modeling, and DevOps-related considerations such as CI/CD and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with at least 2 years in a Solutions Architect or Senior Technical Lead role while remaining actively hands-on with coding.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying applications in SOX-compliant environments, with the ability to clearly articulate how compliance requirements influence architectural and implementation decisions.
- Expert-level proficiency with Next.js (App Router) and the React ecosystem, including TypeScript and modern state management patterns.
- Strong backend development experience (such as Node.js, Python, or Java), including API design (REST and/or GraphQL), service architecture, and data modeling using SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Practical, development-focused experience with CMS platforms, ideally including hands-on work with Payload CMS or similar headless CMS solutions.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools and building AI-augmented or agentic workflows.
- Strong ability to collaborate with designers using Figma and translate UX/UI designs into scalable, maintainable implementations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
