About the role
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from kickoff through close-out
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, surveyors, construction pros)
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and detailed work plans
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions
- Serve as primary client liaison—manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations
- Review and approve technical documents, plans, and reports
- Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative team culture
- Support business development efforts: proposals, presentations, scope definition
- Actively participate in industry groups and promote the firm in the community
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5–8 years of relevant experience (P.E. license preferred)
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
- Solid verbal and written communication skills with clients, teams, and regulators
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service mindset and confidentiality in professional practice
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and processes
- Independent judgment and ownership while championing teamwork and respect
