About the role Lead inspection teams in evaluating existing structures Serve in a capacity as a structural inspector Contribute to the evaluations (load rating) and design of repairs/retrofits/replacements for structures Provide quality control of construction documents Assist and train early and mid-career professionals in condition assessments and repair/retrofit design Conduct structural value engineering, third party design and constructability review, and risk assessment Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering focus (required) Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) (preferred) Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) (preferred) Professional registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.) (preferred) At least 5 years (7+ preferred) directly relevant experience in a design environment (required) Minimum 2 years experience serving as a team leader or primary structural inspector (required) Experience in the inspection of concrete, timber, and steel structures (required) Experience in repair/retrofit design of concrete, steel, and timber structures (required) Registered Bridge Inspection Team Leader (preferred) Successful completion of the FHWA-NHI-130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course (preferred) Bridge Load Rating experience (preferred) Knowledge of relevant structural engineering design and detailing software (AASHTOWare, RISA, ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, SAFE, GSA, etc.) (required) Knowledge of design collaboration software (Bluebeam Studio), and operation of CAD/VDC/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) (preferred) Current OSHA 10-hr training (preferred) Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required) Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. paid holidays vacation sick personal paid time off medical dental vision life disability insurance 401(k) other benefits to eligible employees Copy Applicant Tracking System Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
