About the role
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels and ensuring that inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and audits to verify accuracy between system records and actual stock.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock and provide recommendations for disposal or movement.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.
- Ensure that all transactions (receiving, transfers, adjustments) are properly recorded.
- Assist with generating reports on inventory status, shortages, overages, and reorder levels.
- Receiving & Shipping Support: Assist with receiving incoming shipments by verifying quantities and item descriptions against purchase orders.
- Ensure that inventory is properly labeled, stored, and located in designated storage areas.
- Work with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Inventory Control & Accuracy: Support the implementation of inventory control procedures and policies to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts and reconcile any inventory variances.
- Assist with the analysis of inventory trends and discrepancies.
