About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintains a transparent, effective relationship with the Clinical Manager, Center Manager and Laboratory Manager
- Fosters an environment that focuses on fulfilling the company’s mission, vision, and values
- Adheres to ethical and legal standards of professional practice
- Performs clinical tasks to include: aseptic procedures, taking vital signs, observing and reporting patient symptoms
- Prepares and breakdown medical instruments for in-office procedures as directed
- Administers injections/medications as directed
- Collects and performs basic laboratory procedures as directed
- Performs office procedures including all general administrative duties
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) requirements
- Attends organization meetings and departmental meetings
- Performs front and back office administrative duties
- Complies with infection control standards
- Ensures and upholds customer service initiatives
- Schedules patients as needed for follow-up appointments
- Participates as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care in a safe manner
- Maintains cleanliness of the unit and assists with supply orders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered by the American Medical Technologists, Preferred
- Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants, Preferred
- Completion of Medical Assistant Training, Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience, Preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Ex. Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Epic, Preferred
- Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health experience preferred
- Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) license
