About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Environmental sampling of soil, water, groundwater, and air
- Perform a wide variety of field duties for both routine/scheduled and emergency environmental projects to include: inspection, maintenance, monitoring, construction oversight, air monitoring, and sampling efforts at the project sites
- Completes detailed, accurate field notes, photographs, and field sketches and prepares daily field reports in a timely manner
- Collects samples from the field (soil, groundwater, surface water, drinking water, etc.) in accordance with established procedures
- Maintains and operates field equipment/instrumentation as needed in accordance with specified procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of field experience
- B.S. in environmental science, biology, or related field is preferred
- 1 - 2 years of wetland delineation experience is preferred
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently if required.
- Strong team-player skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally and overnight 50-75% of the time (including working outdoors in adverse weather conditions)
- Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude
- Positive attitude; good interpersonal skills.
