About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate high-fidelity driving simulators using joysticks, steering wheels, or gaming-style controllers during live troubleshooting sessions.
- Respond rapidly and accurately to simulated driving events and environmental changes.
- Observe, log, and report system behavior, flagging performance issues or anomalies for engineering review.
- Assist with hands-on troubleshooting, system restarts, and data collection during testing cycles.
- Follow precise test procedures, safety guidelines, and operational protocols.
- Maintain focus and situational awareness throughout extended testing periods.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to refine simulation accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience as an Autonomous Vehicle Operator (AVO), simulation operator, or in a junior IT support or QA testing role.
- Proficiency with gaming controllers (Xbox, PlayStation, or PC joystick).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fast reaction time.
- Basic computer literacy with strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Reliability, accountability, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay focused and calm under pressure in a dynamic testing environment.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
