About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Energy Regulatory and Environmental & Natural Resources practices
  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients
  • Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research and analysis
  • Coordinate events, sponsorships, webinars, speaking engagements, venues, budgets, logistics, communications, vendors, programs, on-site support, tracking, and follow-up
  • Promote attorney successes and identify aligned media, publishing, and speaking opportunities
  • Coordinate practice group thought leadership and blogs, including strategy development and content posting
  • Identify cross-practice connections and internal visibility opportunities
  • Collect matter data for the firm's experience management system, Foundation
  • Create tailored pitch materials, RFP responses, and client presentations
  • Assist with legal directory and award submissions
  • Coordinate marketing expense approvals and help manage practice budgets
  • Manage InterAction marketing lists, business development activities, research, and reports
  • Respond to internal and external client inquiries and seek feedback and follow-up

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, with business, finance, or marketing coursework preferred
  • Minimum seven years of marketing and business development experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization
  • Strong project and process management experience
