Human Resources Coordinator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Help coordinate internship and seasonal hiring programs.
- Prepare onboarding materials and assist with new hire orientation sessions.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HR policies.
- Maintain employee records in HRIS systems.
- Support payroll and benefits administration tasks as needed.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and events.
- Gather feedback and contribute ideas to improve workplace culture.
- Participate in HR projects such as policy updates, organizational effectiveness, and process improvements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility (see below).
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially over the phone and email.
- Comfortable initiating contact with new people and representing an organization professionally and a willingness to learn
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) familiarity with HRIS systems is an asset.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
