About the role

  • Scope environmental permitting and planning requirements for projects and provide advice to clients
  • Prepare and submit federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulatory applications and authorizations
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients, regulators, Triton project teams, and other stakeholders
  • Provide regulatory and permitting guidance and recommendations to project teams
  • Prepare and sign off on technical reports, including but not limited to Environmental Assessments, Environmental Overview Assessments, Fish and Fish Habitat reports, Environmental Management Plans, and Environmental Protection Plans
  • Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of proposals, internal guidance documents, and presentations

Requirements

  • Must be registered as an RPBio or RBTech through the BC College of Applied Biologists
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant technical experience, including submitting regulatory applications (experience in the oil and gas industry preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulatory processes (including, but not limited to, the Water Sustainability Act, Wildlife Act, Fisheries Act, BCER’s Environmental Protection and Management Guideline)
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and submitting regulatory applications
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, including the ability to adhere to QAQC procedures, budgets, and timelines
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
