About the role

  • Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks
  • Successfully managing project delivery through cost-efficient and timely completion of deliverables
  • Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities
  • Leading the preparation of proposals and cost estimates
  • Maintaining and supporting Triton’s industry‑wide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry
  • Providing mentorship and training for our junior staff and for the environmental professional team
  • Maintaining and improving upon Triton and client safety standards
  • Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., environmental science, biology, agrology, ecology)
  • Experience working within the environmental industry sector is preferred
  • Significant experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control)
  • Knowledge of and experience with provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines
  • Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing)
  • A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes
  • Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals
  • Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style
  • Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills
  • Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a professional governing body and having a professional designation is preferred
