About the role
- Provide prototyping, model-making, pre-production, and fabrication support for MEL systems.
- Lead and support engineering design efforts, including system modifications and generator upgrades.
- Develop, implement, and execute Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) as a primary responsibility.
- Ensure all electrical soldering is performed in accordance with IPC-J-STD-001 by certified personnel.
- Ensure cable and wiring harness assemblies comply with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Support fiber optic installation and termination activities performed by ETA-certified technicians.
- Maintain and provide certification records to the Government upon request.
- Deliver ILS support focused on ECP development, system production, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain logistics documentation, including: Technical Manuals (TMs), Logistics Management Information (LMI), Stock List Level 3 (SL3).
- Ensure all logistics elements are aligned with system configuration changes and lifecycle requirements.
- Develop, update, and deliver Technical Manuals in compliance with MIL-STD-38784 and Marine Corps Style Guide SG-1A.
- Produce and deliver native source files using Adobe FrameMaker 10.0 or Government-approved equivalent tools.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all technical documentation.
- Plan and execute PHS&T activities for MEL equipment across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Support PHS&T requirements associated with: ECP development and delivery, Approved Acquisition Objective (AAO) increases, Direct fleet support activities.
- Ensure all shipments comply with applicable military and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Experience supporting DoD programs, preferably with Marine Corps or Navy systems.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, and system modification.
- Strong understanding of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes.
- Familiarity with ILS elements and logistics documentation (TMs, LMI, SL3).
- Experience working with military standards (MIL-STDs) and technical documentation requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
