About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and support Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB databases across production and non‑production environments
Perform database builds, patching, upgrades, and configuration activities
Execute backup, recovery, and business continuity strategies to ensure system resilience
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for high‑availability environments
Develop and maintain automation scripts using KornShell (Unix/Linux) and PowerShell (Windows)
Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents through ServiceNow
Participate in an on‑call rotation (every 4 weeks, 7‑day coverage)
Collaborate closely with application teams, system administrators, and project stakeholders
Support ongoing initiatives such as ADMS upgrades and capital infrastructure projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands‑on DBA experience with Oracle and SQL Server
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MariaDB
Strong experience with backup/recovery, performance tuning, and patching
Scripting experience with KornShell and PowerShell
Familiarity with ServiceNow for ticket and request management
Ability to communicate clearly across technical and non‑technical teams
Experience working in regulated or operational environments
